Greece
Thesprotia region in Northern Greece is suffering population shrinkage, and it shows a variety of self-organised initiatives lead by women.
There are more than 20 small villages in the inland of Thesprotia region in Northern Greece which while they are suffering shrinkage, they show a variety of self-organised initiatives and social encounters created mostly by women who almost over the last three decades have organised against the almost routine oppression. We consider these communities as well as the women associations and cooperatives in Thesprotia as associated partners in the ASOC project. We aim to involve them in participatory processes with students and transnational organisations. They will be able to lead student groups, share their knowledge and collective know-how techniques. Ultimately, we aim to merge formal, non-formal and informal learning models.
