For the two workshops in France, we drew on the research and experiments in reuse carried out over the last three years by the Place des possibles residents’ associations. In fact, thanks to the dismantling and storage of certain elements of the old factory and the identification of local channels for recycled materials, the members of Place des possibles are redeveloping their spaces according to a logic of reuse that affects design and construction. With them, we have therefore experimented with new construction techniques and adapted the architectural design to the reused materials.
An introduction to reuse in architecture was proposed and presented by Sébastien FABIANI, Associate Lecturer, ENSA Grenoble.
