Exploring Water as a Vital Resource: Mythology, Ecology, and Community Infrastructure

The GRRRwater Landscapes Workshop in Morfi, Thesprotia explores the rich water landscapes of the region, blending mythology, ecology, and community design.
This video captures moments from the May and August 2024 workshops, where hands-on learning allowed students, educators and local community to explore the area’s mythological waterways, such as Kalodiki Lake and the Styx Lagoon, examine water’s role in local agriculture and livelihoods, and build community-centered water infrastructures. Through restoring the abandoned school of the village, opening natural paths and designing a communal kitchen, the workshop invites participants to reimagine water as a vital shared resource, shaping spaces for both ecological sustainability and social connection.
